Hydrophobic Masterbatch
Imparts critical liquid repellent and hydrophobic surface properties to breathable film outer surface preventing liquid water penetration while maintaining moisture vapour transmission. Fluorochemical or silicone-based hydrophobic masterbatch creates liquid barrier through surface energy reduction ensuring breathable film passes hydrostatic head test while maintaining required WVTR.
Breathable Masterbatch
Imparts controlled hydrophilicity to inner surface of breathable film used in hygiene product backsheets for rapid fluid transport away from skin contact layer. Breathable masterbatch in inner layer creates moisture wicking effect improving rewet performance and skin dryness in baby diapers, adult incontinence products, and feminine hygiene breathable backsheet applications.
Antimicrobial Masterbatch
Incorporates pharmaceutical grade silver-ion or zinc-based antimicrobial agents to prevent bacterial and fungal growth through micropores of breathable films used in medical and hygiene applications. Antimicrobial masterbatch must not block or clog microporous structure of breathable film — particle size must be significantly smaller than micropore diameter to maintain required WVTR performance.
Silicone Masterbatch
Imparts soft, cloth-like tactile properties to breathable film surface for premium hygiene products replacing harsh plastic feel with textile-like comfort experience. Silicone-based soft feel masterbatch creates lubricated microporous surface that provides premium skin-friendly touch meeting textile-like softness requirements of premium baby diaper and adult care breathable backsheet applications.
Filler Masterbatch
Most critical and widely used masterbatch in breathable film production incorporating ultra-fine CaCO₃in PE carrier resin that creates micro-voids during biaxial stretching enabling controlled moisture vapour transmission. CaCO₃ particle debonding from PE matrix during MDO stretching creates interconnected microporous network providing WVTR for hygiene, medical, and agricultural breathable film applications.
Odour Remover Masterbatch
Incorporates zeolite or cyclodextrin-based odour absorbing compounds to neutralise unpleasant odours permeating through micropores of breathable film in hygiene product applications. Odour control masterbatch must not block microporous structure of breathable film — active odour absorbing particles must be smaller than micropore diameter maintaining required moisture vapour transmission performance.
