UV-MB TESTING

We are amongst the very few companies in India to have a complete in-house testing facility with a physical & analytical lab for UV Masterbatch.

The Need For Testing

Light, high temperature, and moisture can cause damage to coatings, plastics, inks, and other organic materials. The resulting damage can be seen in many different types of polymer degradation. These include changes in physical properties such as cracking, peeling, embrittlement, and loss of tensile strength; as well as visual properties such as gloss loss, fading, yellowing, color fade and color change.

Physical Lab

QUV Weathering Tester

The QUV accelerated weathering tester reproduces the damage caused by natural sunlight, rain, and dew. In a few days or weeks, the QUV tester can reproduce the damage that occurs over months or years outdoors.

Melt Flow Index Tester

A Melt Flow Index (MFI) tester is used to measure the flow rate of molten plastic, which is relevant for UV masterbatch testing to assess its processability and suitability for different applications. By measuring how easily the masterbatch flows when melted, manufacturers can ensure it will perform as expected during processing and achieve the desired product quality

Muffle Furnace

Muffle furnaces are used in UV masterbatch testing to determine the ash content of the material by burning it at high temperaturesThe furnace isolates the sample from the heat source, allowing for controlled and uniform heating, which is essential for accurate ash content determination. This process helps in assessing the inorganic impurities or residue left after the material is completely combusted

Inhouse Analytical Lab

Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer (FTIR):

The FTIR method of spectroscopy relies on the absorption of infrared photons that cause molecular bonds to vibrate. The result is a spectrum of distinctive bands that can be used as a fingerprint to identify and describe the sample.

Thermo gravimetric Analyzer (TGA):

GA is used to investigate the thermal stability of polymers.

Differential Scanning calorimeter (DSC):

The physical and chemical properties of a substance can change as a function of temperature or time, and DSC is used to evaluate enthalpy changes resulting from these changes.
The above tests ensure consistent product quality and enable us to consistently continuous improvement in our processes & products.
