HDPE Base Filler Masterbatch.
Ultra-fine, surface-coated calcium carbonate engineered into a virgin HDPE carrier — built to substitute polymer, raise stiffness, and hold dispersion at scale.
What is Bajaj Plast HDPE Base Filler?
Bajaj Plast HDPE Base Filler is a functional filler masterbatch: an ultra-fine, surface-treated calcium carbonate (CaCO₃) micro-powder homogeneously compounded into a virgin high-density polyethylene (HDPE) carrier resin, together with a proprietary coupling and dispersion additive package.
The compound is manufactured at a precisely controlled let-down ratio so that it can be metered directly into a converter's primary HDPE resin at the machine hopper — partially substituting virgin polymer while the coated mineral phase remains uniformly dispersed through the melt, rather than settling or re-agglomerating during processing.

Why Bajaj Plast HDPE Base Filler,
and why Bajaj Masterbatches
Two questions converters ask before they change a formulation — answered by feedstock economics and three decades of compounding discipline.
Feedstock economics favour the filler
Virgin polyolefins are refined from petroleum feedstock, so resin pricing tracks crude oil and gas availability directly — it moves whenever upstream supply tightens. Mineral-based fillers do not share that exposure: CaCO₃ reserves are geologically abundant and available year-round, so Bajaj filler pricing climbs at a materially slower pace than resin.
Every converter has access to the same base resins. The differentiator is the formulation built on top of them — a well-engineered filler masterbatch lets a processor hold mechanical performance while lowering resin dependency, which is a repeatable, compounding advantage against competitors running unfilled or poorly dispersed systems.
Why source it from Bajaj
Bajaj Plast has run masterbatch operations out of Nagpur, Maharashtra for three decades, under an ISO 9001:2015 quality system certified by TÜV Nord. Feedstock CaCO₃ and coupling chemistries are sourced from established global suppliers, so batch-to-batch particle size distribution and coating quality stay within tight tolerance — the variable converters actually feel on the production floor.
The HDPE Base Filler grade sits inside a wider Bajaj filler system (PP, PE, HDPE and Talc base grades), which means formulations can be tuned by resin family and by let-down ratio, rather than forcing one generic filler across every application.
Key features.
Every property below is set at the compounding stage, not left to chance on the converter's line.
Ultra-fine coated CaCO₃
Micronised calcium carbonate, surface-coated for compatibility with a non-polar HDPE matrix, minimising particle re-agglomeration.
Uniform dispersion
Twin-screw compounded so the mineral phase distributes evenly through the HDPE carrier — no streaking, no localised filler-rich zones.
HDPE-matched carrier
Built on a virgin HDPE carrier resin so melt rheology and shrinkage behaviour align with the base polymer it is added to.
High, stable loading
Formulated for high CaCO₃ let-down while holding a consistent melt flow index across production lots.
Batch-to-batch consistency
Every lot passes MFI, ash-content and dispersion checks under a TÜV Nord-audited ISO 9001:2015 QMS.
Application-tuned ratios
Let-down ratio and additive package are customised against the target process — injection, blow moulding, film or extrusion.
Key benefits.
The value shows up on the cost sheet and on the production floor at the same time.
Polymer cost reduction
Every 10% loading of a Bajaj filler grade can offset roughly 10% of virgin resin consumption per unit of output.
Improved stiffness & strength
CaCO₃ reinforcement raises flexural modulus and tensile strength versus the unfilled resin baseline.
Better printability
A more uniform, less glossy surface improves ink anchorage and print definition downstream.
Higher productivity, lower wear
Improved processability shortens cycle time, reduces melt-pressure spikes and eases wear on screws and dies.
Energy saving & less wastage
CaCO₃'s thermal conductivity helps cut heating/cooling cycle time, while consistent dispersion lowers reject rates.
Making of Bajaj Plast HDPE Base Filler.
A controlled, sequential compounding process — from mineral sourcing to a pelletised, QC-cleared masterbatch.
Raw material sourcing
Ultra-fine calcium carbonate and virgin HDPE resin are sourced from established, globally used suppliers, screened against particle size and purity tolerances before release to the compounding line.
Surface treatment & coating
CaCO₃ particles are surface-coated with a coupling agent that improves interfacial adhesion between the inorganic mineral and the non-polar HDPE matrix — the step that determines dispersion quality later in the melt.
Precision dosing & pre-mix
Coated CaCO₃, virgin HDPE carrier and the performance additive package are metered at calibrated ratios and pre-blended for feed uniformity into the extruder.
Twin-screw melt compounding
The pre-mix is melt-blended under controlled temperature and shear profiles, dispersing the mineral phase through the polymer melt and homogenising the compound.
Strand pelletising & cooling
The homogenised melt is extruded as strands, water-cooled and cut into uniform, free-flowing masterbatch pellets sized for standard hopper feeding.
Quality control & dispatch
Every batch is tested for melt flow index, ash content, moisture and dispersion under the ISO 9001:2015 quality system before packaging and dispatch to converters.
