Temperature Setting

Temperature setting are crucial parameter for proper plastic processing ,hence one should check temperature controller, thermocouple and solid state relay(SSR)

  • when you cold  start the machine ,wait for 2hours.

Uneven tape thickness

1. Improper die gap setting
2. Unstable extrusion temperature
3. Resin MFI variation

1. Adjust and balance die gap
2. Stabilize heating zones
3. Use resin with consistent melt flow index

Tape breakage during weaving
 

1. Overstretching of tapes
2. Excessive moisture in resin
3. Poor dispersion of masterbatch

1. Optimize stretching ratio
2. Pre-dry resin properly
3. Use well-dispersed additive masterbatch

Poor tensile strength of tapes

1. Inadequate orientation
2. Improper cooling during stretching
3. Low-quality resin

1. Increase draw ratio for better orientation
2. Adjust cooling roll temperature
3. Use high-tenacity PP resin

High shrinkage in tapes

1. Insufficient heat setting
2. High quench bath temperature
3. Resin shrinkage tendency

1. Optimize heat-setting zone
2. Reduce cooling water/roll temperature
3. Select resin with low shrinkage

Fibrillation of leno tapes

1. Wide molecular weight distribution of resin
2. Excessive draw ratio
3. Absence of anti-fibrillation additive

1. Use resin with narrower molecular weight distribution
2. Reduce stretching ratio
3. Add slip/anti-fibrillation masterbatch

Poor clarity/transparency of fabric
 

1. Overheating of polymer
2. Resin contamination

2. Use clean, virgin resin
3. Ensure masterbatch compatibility

Frequent die lines / gels
 

1. Resin contamination
2. Polymer degradation in die
3. Poor filtration

Low bursting strength of bag
 

1. Poor tape strength
2. Uneven weaving tension
3. Inferior resin grade
